The primary purpose of this brief is for you to demonstrate an understanding of the principles of animation etc. by generated just enough of a story to showcase this understanding. Your story idea, in this context, is much too baroque and 'high detail'. The simple idea of a stapler turning on its user and becoming this snapping, rabid contraption is story enough - especially considering you'll be the one drawing every frame. Keep your story very simple, with an emphasis on the 'performance' of your object. In your current story, you've got security guards.... and unless they are also going to be animated fabulously well, you're multiplying your animation task. Cut the people, and prove more with less.
