The statue in front of the larger temple is Nebuchadnezzar, King of the Neo-Babylonian Empire. His model was based of reference images.
Another modelled statue which needs to be placed in one of the temples is Ishtar, Babylonian goddess of fertility, war, love, and sex, also based of reference images. I will plan to have a statue of Marduk, patron deity of the city of Babylon, as the 200ft erection that sits in the middle of the Kigalla and connects to the tower.
After the tower is complete I'll be adding in sunset lighting, using dynamics for the fountains and for fire torches along the walls, dotting around vegetation, and a matte painting behind.

A question - Have you 'Gamma' corrected your scene? If you are using the pyshical sun system did you have the following settings:
1) mia_exposure_simple = Gamma set at 2.2
2) mental ray / quality / framebuffer = set at 1
If so you need to add a 'gamma node' between your texture and shader (color channel) with setting of 0.454 for each channel (RGB). You will need to do this for all textures.
If you have done this already then great, if not you need to do it to get the correct colour from your textures.

DeleteYep, I added Gamma Correct nodes last night as I set up the sunset lighting. Used the 'Mental Ray: Physical Sun & Sky' Scribd document from the tutorials page as reference for this. Thanks :)
